Time Out says

Usually off-limits after sunset, Shinjuku Gyoen is opening its gates for one night only this October. For three hours, visitors will be able to stroll around the landscaped gardens, but with a twist: modern art installations, including digital art light-ups, have been placed across the park along a 2km course. Besides installations by three young artists, you'll also find a VR experience and more interactive works dotted around. With art-tech group Rhizomatiks behind the effort, it'll certainly be a worthwhile way to start your weekend. Entry is free, but you'll need to apply for a ticket in advance through their website
