Now in its 42nd edition, the annual Hello Halloween Pumpkin Parade will be attended by more than 1,000 children under twelve years old, who dress up to form a parade that spans the length of approximately one kilometre along the zelkova tree-lined avenue in Omotesando.
What’s more, there’s also a special Okashi Rally Map listing participating shops around Omotesando and Harajuku where children can pick up free okashi (sweets). To join the trick-or-treat rally, children must have a ticket for the Pumpkin Parade. Our tip: pick up a map at the reception before joining the parade at 1pm.
Tickets to participate in the events are available via LivePocket. Be sure to grab them quickly, as they tend to sell out well in advance. Tickets must be purchased separately for each child and exchanged on-site for a participation certificate with a QR code. For more details, check the event website.
If you've missed out on purchasing the tickets, there are also booths at Harajuku Piazza Building for the little ones to partake in fun activities for free, such as face painting and make-up.
