Hibiya Music Festival

Organised by music producer Seiji Kameda, this free outdoor festival will feature dozens of live performances from the likes of the Kameda-led Music Park Orchestra, Japanese rock singer and performer Ailly, four-member pop-funk dance and vocal group Atarashii Gakko!, guitarist Ayllton, Tsugaru shamisen player Sayo Komada, and local rapper Kreva.

All performances are free to watch, but performances held at the Forum-za stage in Tokyo International Forum Hall A require a free ticket obtained online through a lottery system. The gigs will be complemented by a roster of workshops, which are also free to attend. You can shop for musical instruments, and whenever you're feeling peckish, just head to one of the food stalls. It’s the perfect chance to get a (free) taste of Japan’s music scene.
