Attracting around 600,000 visitors, the annual Hokkaido Fair is returning to Yoyogi Park with a plethora of booths offering fresh seafood and crowd-pleasing dishes from the northern prefecture. Treat yourself to a bowl of miso ramen, delicious kaisendon (sashimi rice bowl), uni (sea urchin) and ikura (salmon roe) over rice, and Hokkaido-style ‘zangi’ karaage fried chicken, just to name a few. Make sure to get Hokkaido’s famed melon desserts to complete your meal.
This year, weekday visitors can enjoy selected dishes in larger portions at no extra cost. Many items will also come with extra toppings to satisfy your appetite, or be discounted by ¥500 to ¥1,150.
