Time Out says

Since 2013, this international conference has been discussing the future of cities, focusing on the question of how we’ll live 20 years from now. Forty people with different backgrounds will take part in the event, including international researchers and businesspeople involved in technological and urban development. French historical demographer and family anthropologist Emmanuel Todd will make an appearance, as well as designers and artists, such as Eisuke Tachikawa, president of Nosigner, and DJ and new media artist Daito Manabe of Rhizomatiks. During the four-day event, each speaker will discuss the possibilities they envisage for the future.

‘Contemplating a new future, now’ is this year’s theme, and the event will focus on cities and society after the pandemic, as well as on the effect of Covid-19 on culture, art and tourism.

The full programme will be simultaneously interpreted in English and Japanese, and available to watch online for free. However, you’ll need to register in advance to gain access to the live-stream.
