Time Out says

For its 20th anniversary back in 2017, the Tokyo International Forum started hosting this two-day Japanese culture extravaganza at the beginning of each new year. The event is based around Japanese traditions and New Year's customs.

Look forward to the so-called New Year's theme park, where you'll be able to experience a variety of New Year traditions, including wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) making and calligaphy, and watch a line-up of performances. Make sure to get your tickets for the kyogen (Noh comedy) and musical show as well – it's definitely worth it. So for a concentrated dose of culture to kickstart the new year, make your way here on the first few days of 2020.
