Journey to the End of the Night

In the fifth running of this popular Tokyo-wide race – which has a Halloween theme for its October edition – contestants must dash around the city and complete interactive challenges at several checkpoints while evading pursuit. It’s inspired by the Japanese game called onigokko, or you could just think of it as a zombie version of tag. The course, which begins at 6.45pm at Toyama Park's Children's Square (just west of Nishi-Waseda Station), is approximately 9.8km and may take two to four hours to complete.
