If getting smashed on Kagoshima shochu sounds like your kind of Tuesday evening, then head straight to Ebisu for this all-you-can-drink bash celebrating Japan's best-known native distilled beverage. A total of 73 breweries from the Kyushu prefecture will be taking part, so there'll be plenty of variety for you to sample – up to 700 different bottles are set to be opened during the evening. You'll also be able to nibble on a range of booze-compatible Kagoshima snacks, and don't forget to fill out the quick festival survey on the day: 73 lucky respondents will receive a miniature shochu bottle to take home.
