Don’t be fooled by how it looks: this treat may appear to be a delectable parfait dessert, but it’s actually a kaisendon (seafood rice bowl) topped with a variety of sashimi. And for a limited time until August 31, you can enjoy this colourful, filling dish at just half the price.
The savoury ‘parfait’ comes in three flavors – tuna (¥1,240), red sea bream with sea urchin sauce (¥840), and salmon with avocado sauce (¥840). At the base is white rice mixed with rice wine vinegar, Japanese ginger, shiso leaves and sesame seeds to complement the fresh, colourful seafood toppings.
