Karaage Carnival 2017

That most gourmet-oriented of Shinjuku's department stores, Odakyu once again treats the city's foodies to a tasty-looking festival: the Karaage Carnival sees eight fried chicken specialists from Hokkaido in the north to Oita in the south set up stalls on the second basement floor. All winners of one award or the other at this year's Japan Karaage Association Grand Prix (yes, really), the shops will be enticing visitors with a wide range of flavours, so you'll be in for a real chicken feast.
