With its relaxed pace, leafy suburbs and Showa-era streets, Katsushika City certainly has charm. But, perhaps due to its location on the outskirts of Tokyo, it is not one of the more well-known districts in the metropolis. The Katsushika Food Festa is determined to change this, drawing crowds each year to its annual eating extravaganza. This year will see around 50 stalls, so it’s well worth the trip east of the Arakawa River.
