Koishikawa Korakuen – New Year at the Daimyo Garden
公益財団法人東京都公園協会

First laid out in 1629 but now overshadowed by nearby Tokyo Dome, Koishikawa Korakuen usually offers a range of walks, bridges, hills and vistas that encourage quiet contemplation. That calm may be in short supply, however, during these two days of family-friendly New Year's celebrations that include Edo-style street performances, badminton-like hanetsuki games, guided tours of the park and more.
