The Komae Tamagawa River Fireworks Festival is returning for the first time in four years on August 9. Expect to see 5,000 shells of fireworks launched into the night sky along the Tamagawa river, and you can catch the spectacular sight from both the Komae and the Kawasaki banks of the river.
For the best view, however, book a reserved seat in advance via Ticket Pia or Lawson Ticket. The Komae-side tickets will set you back ¥5,000 per person (or ¥24,000 for a table up to four people). The Kawasaki side, on the other hand, costs ¥4,000 per person (or ¥20,000 for a table up to four people). Seats are limited, so book soon.
