The Kyushu Fair is returning to Yoyogi Park during the weekend of October 8 to 9, featuring over 30 stalls with delicacies from Kyushu prefecture. Try Beppu city’s famed Oita-style karaage fried chicken, skirt steak from Fukuoka, spicy noodles from Miyazaki, mentaiko (pollock roe) or a classic American burger from the legendary Sasebo Burger joint. While craft beer pairs well with any of its meals, sake fans should opt for the two hour all-you-can-drink pass, which gets you unlimited sake for ¥3,150 if you purchase tickets in advance.
The stage will feature musical and dance performances throughout the day, including various idols, boy bands and singers. The food stall area is free to enter, but you must purchase a ticket (¥1,000) to watch the performances.
