Time Out says

The areas along Marunouchi Naka-dori and Gyoko-dori streets are known as the Marunouchi Street Park, and it’s aiming to be  your favourite chill out spot this summer.

The entire area is separated into three sections: Block 1 will have seating with shade and electrical outlets powered by solar energy, making it suitable for remote work. Block 2 will feature a street piano for the public to play on as well as extended outdoor for the restaurants on that street. Block 3 will be covered in astroturf and offer swings designed after the national rugby team’s uniform, rugby ball-shaped tables, and benches decorated with the rugby player’s hand prints.

Additionally, Block 2 will be hosting plenty of live gigs from classical and jazz to acoustics to pop. Japanese big band Gentle Forest Jazz Band is scheduled to perform on August 11 from 11.30am to 12pm.

The weekend of August 11-12 is expected to be extra lively with rugby-themed festivities. There will be fun festival games like shateki target shooting and rugby ball fishing, as well as food trucks and stalls offering summertime food and snacks including kakigori shaved ice dessert.
