Head over to Odaiba beach to celebrate Mimosa Day on March 5. What is Mimosa Day, you ask? It’s a traditional Italian celebration on March 8 (coincidentally also the date of International Women’s Day) where women receive bouquets of mimosa flowers to symbolise their strength and beauty.
It’s free to attend, but space is limited, so be sure to sign up for a time slot in advance via this online form. You’ll get a tasting of sparkling Prosecco DOC for your effort and all women who attend will receive a Ferrero Rocher, too. Make sure to stay until exactly 3.08pm to walk across the Rainbow Bridge alongside Italian women and staff from the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan.
Around 50 Italian restaurants across Japan selected by the ICCJ will also be celebrating Mimosa Day by offering mimosa bouquets and chocolate from March 5 to 8. You can see the full list of participating restaurants on the website.
