Just like most of the capital's other public gardens, Rikugien up in Komagome puts on a new year's programme centred around lion dance performances and other traditional shows, displays of particularly impressive potted plants and sales of matcha (¥510) and amazake (¥300). The performances take place from 10.30am and 1.30pm on both days.
