Arguably the prettiest pool on this list, Hotel East 21 Tokyo’s massive 2,000sqm outdoor pool on the 5th floor is open in the evenings until September 30. It’s also one of the largest hotel pools in Tokyo, designed to look like a European aristocratic garden from the 19th century. The poolside is paved with Australian sandstone tiles and surrounded by plenty of greenery that will make you forget you’re still in the concrete jungle.
There’s one large pool, a lap pool, four Jacuzzis, plus a café serving light meals and cocktails. Weekday entry to the night pool costs ¥6,600 (from Jul 15 to Aug 31, except Aug 7 to 16) or ¥5,500 (from Sep 1 to 30) per person. Weekend admission is priced at ¥7,700 (from Jul 15 to Aug 31 and everyday from Aug 7 to 16) or ¥6,600 (from Sep 1 to 30). Hotel guests on the other hand only pay a flat fee of ¥4,400.
