Time Out says

The Arts Council Tokyo has been hosting a variety of programmes to discuss and promote arts and culture in the metropolis. This year, the open forum is focussed on exploring ways to expand the city experience through arts and culture.

This three-hour session will feature presentations and panel discussions led by experts from Tokyo, Paris and Los Angeles. Director of culture from the Paris 2024 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Stéphane Fiévet, and chief design officer for the city of Los Angeles, Christopher Hawthorne, will be giving a lecture in Japan for the first time, along with Takashi Serizawa, executive director of P3, an art and environment organisation based in Shinjuku, and Hiroyuki Fushitani, president of Original Inc and Time Out Tokyo Inc.

At this event you’ll discover the latest ideas as well as artistic and cultural projects that are in the works leading up to the 2020 Olympics, such as Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s efforts to promote the city’s hidden gems and nighttime economy. You’ll also learn about how the city is using its time and space, as well as upcoming projects in Tokyo.

Attendance is free but prior registration is required.
