Shopping and dining complex Reload Shimokitazawa is celebrating Christmas with special pop-ups, exhibitions and exclusive offerings.
Visit Japanese tea shop Shimokita Chaen Oyama on December 24 and 25 for its special holiday kakigori shaved ice and tea latte. At Stabler Shimokitazawa Meatstand 2nd you can try a Christmas meat sandwich (¥1,500) with tomato and broccoli until December 30. Vegan bakery Universal Bakes Nicome will be selling a plant-based stollen cake filled with sake-soaked green raisins and citrus peels, as well as tree-shaped bread.
If you’re more into workshops, Ogawa Coffee Laboratory has a latte art workshop on December 19 for ¥1,200. Spots are limited to ten pairs and reservations must be made in advance by phone (03 6407 0194). You can also book a private Christmas flower workshop to make wreaths and garlands at Flo Dance until December 25.
Don’t forget to stop by the Nakamura Keith Haring Collection Pop-Up, where you’ll get to see pop art by the late American artist Keith Haring scattered around the Reload Entrance Hall and Mustard Hotel from December 10 to 25.
