In this exhibition, visitors can take a look back Ryoma Sakamoto’s life and items which related to it. Also on display, for the first time in Kanto region, are valuable items such as 'Poem in memory of Ryoma', which was given by Kaishu Katsu, and a wooden statue of Ryoma made by Hakuun Motoyama. The event will be held at the Registered Tangible Cultural Asset Hyakudan Kaidan (100 steps staircase) at Meguro Gajoen, a venue that has inherited the extravagances of Edo culture. With a setting an historical building, which resembles the atmosphere of a restaurant in the closing days of the Tokugawa Shogunate, visitors can enjoy their time here pass feeling as if they might be chatting with Ryoma himself.
