In celebration of Rimowa’s 125th anniversary, the luxury luggage brand is hosting a massive retrospective that starts in Tokyo before moving on to New York and Cologne in Germany. After the halt of international travel during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, this exhibition reflects on what it means to visit new places and takes a look at the evolution of travel.
You’ll get to see travel pieces from Rimowa's impressive archive, including rarely-seen privately-owned cases, collabs with other iconic brands and pieces built for special purposes. Look out for celebrity suitcases belonging to the likes of Billie Eilish and Pharrell Williams, plus cases owned by Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami.
