Head to the newly opened shibuya-san tourist information and art centre for some poetry reading hosted by Tokyo’s popular radio personality Robert Harris. The evening features local poets including Jordan Smith from Tokyo Poetry Journal and Poetry Slam Japan’s representative Katsuhiko Murata as well as their winning poet of the year.
Spend an evening surrounded by tourism-inspired art installations curated by contemporary art group L Pack, enjoy a hot cup of coffee or sake, and mingle with tourists and locals. Keep an eye out for Poetry Cafe’s upcoming spring events, which will include an open mic session.
