Time Out says

Shibuya’s famed crossing is an obvious spot that shouldn’t be missed on the tourist trail through Tokyo. Whether you’re in the thick of it walking through the masses or capturing the view from above the action (the observation deck at Magnet by Shibuya 109 is a good spot), the scramble is always a mesmerising sight. Just don’t get trampled trying to get that perfect shot.

Dole Smoothie Bowl Factory - The Scramble

Get your fruit fix this weekend at Dole’s smoothie bowl pop-up in front of the Shibuya scramble crossing. Celebrating the nationwide launch of its ready-to-eat smoothie bowls in convenience stores, the multinational fruit giant has opened a booth where you can customise their acai, pitaya, kiwi and mango smoothies by picking from a selection of 100 toppings to create your very own original smoothie bowl. The bowls come in three sizes, and you can choose either one, three or five toppings, depending on size (¥600, ¥700, ¥800 respectively). If you’re feeling lost, use one of their daily customisation combo recommendations – think an acai bowl with Oreos, chocolate chips and cocoa spread. Healthier options are of course also available, such as pumpkin seeds, dried blueberries and coconut chips. Top off your fruity creation with one of the 24 sauces on offer. These range from sensible ones like honey and peanut butter to utterly strange pairings such as chilli sauce, dried cilantro and even a mystery ‘protein sauce’.
