Another good chance to try out some nihonshu, this fair is centred around Shimokitazawa Station and celebrates coastal Tohoku with a whole lot of locally made sake. On November 18 and 19, the fair will be winding along the streets – about 40 varieties of booze will be on offer, including nihonshu from Kesennuma's Sotenden and Shiogama's Urakasumi breweries, as well as Rias Wine from Rikuzentakata. For those who like some food with their liquor, there will be stalls with seafood like scallops and oysters. Besides this main outdoor event, select restaurants in Shimokitazawa will be offering Tohoku delicacies and sake until December 17.
