Time Out says

Yakiimo, or sweet potatoes, are a popular hot snack in winter. You can find them everywhere in Tokyo, from convenience stores to small food trucks parked on the street. For those with a profound affection for potatoes, the Shinagawa Yakiimo Terrace is the place to be this weekend to celebrate the ward's annual yakiimo festival. Since its inception in 2017, the Shinagawa Yakiimo Terrace has drawn over 200,000 attendees – a true testament to the potato's incredible ability to bring people together.

Back for another successful year, this spud-tacular event will once again showcase different sweet potato varieties from all over Japan, with plenty of stalls and food trucks serving yakiimo treats. Highlights include sweet potato milkshakes and yakiimo soft-serve ice cream, though purists can also enjoy an assortment of simple baked sweet potatoes, with no unnecessary toppings or added flavours. Yammy!
