Time Out says

Set against the backdrop of Chuo-dori Street, Ginza’s famous pedestrianised main boulevard, Yukata de Ginbura returns this summer, running from late afternoon to evening on August 1. Roughly translating to ‘strolling through Ginza in yukata’, this neighbourhood-wide event features multiple festivals along Chuo-dori.

The programme includes a massive bon odori festival near Matsuya Ginza from 4pm to 8pm, outdoor food stalls by renowned Ginza retailers serving up gourmet Japanese and Western dishes near Ginza Six, and a water-sprinkling event (at 4pm, 4.30pm and 5pm) where festivalgoers pour water on the ground to the sound of taiko drums – a Japanese summer tradition to enjoy the cool evening summer breeze. Don a yukata and experience an elegant Japanese summer evening firsthand.
