Located on the rooftop of the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, this open-air observatory provides an impressive 360-degree bird’s-eye view of Tokyo, including landmarks like Shinjuku Gyoen, the New National Stadium, Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Skytree. Note that strong wind and heavy rain can impact the opening hours.

Nomen est omen – it's manly meat or nothing at this comfy izakaya, where you can pair your drink with a steak, some skewers or even meat sushi. First-timers may want to order the six-skewer chef's selection (omakase, ¥1,480) before exploring the extensive menu further.

Located in Tokyo Midtown, this museum possesses one of the most impressive collections of Japanese arts and crafts in Japan, and also stages tea ceremonies on the sixth floor on certain Thursdays. Space is limited to 50 people and participation costs ¥1,000 (plus the museum entrance fee) – including tea and seasonal sweets. Note that the museum is closed for renovations from November 11 2019 to mid-May 2020.
