In anticipation of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Tokyo Tokyo Festival, a project organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Arts Council Tokyo, will be hosting several arts and cultural events and programmes across the city, kicking off in September. At this pre-event, you'll have the chance to preview the major programmes before they debut in public in the following months.
Each of the 12 chosen projects will be explained by its creators, using the PechaKucha method: 20 images at 20 seconds each (English translations available). You can also look forward to performances by guest artists, including KOM_I (a member of music group Wednesday Campanella) and composer Shuta Hasunuma, which will take place prior to the presentation.
The event is free to attend, but as it’s limited to 150 guests, you should hurry and register your here.
