Feast on popular Taiwanese street food without leaving Tokyo at this food festival beneath Tokyo Tower from April 2 to May 8. There will be enough xiao long bao dumplings, Taiwanese fried chicken, savoury soy milk soup, scallion pancakes and boba tea to make you feel like you've walked into a Taipei night market, especially with the place decked out with ornate paper lanterns. Plus, keep an eye out for souvenir stands to purchase local knick-knacks, sweet treats and condiments.
A one-day ticket (¥800, children ¥500) will get you instant rice noodles and two bottled Taiwanese teas upon entry, but you can swap it all for a pineapple instead for an additional ¥200. If you want to visit multiple times, get the all-access ticket for ¥1,800 which will allow you to enter the festival every day.
