Torigoe Matsuri (2015)

See the huge four-ton mikoshi (portable) shrine being shuttled through the streets near Asakusabashi at this festival known for its intense fights that invariably break out over who gets to carry the monster. The main parade takes place on Sunday night – make sure to head over early to secure a good viewing spot.
