Time Out says

[UPDATE: Oct 10] Due to Typhoon Hagibis, expected to bring heavy rain and strong wind to Tokyo the weekend of October 12-13, the event has been cancelled on Saturday October 12 and Sunday October 13. It will be held on Monday October 14 from 9am to 8pm.

Before Tokyo Ramen Show kicks off in late October, noodle lovers can slurp their favourite comfort food at this three-day festival in Tsukuba, Ibaraki prefecture's ramen hub. While Tsukuba is not in Tokyo proper, it's just an hour from the metropolis.

The city’s most popular ramen specialists will collaborate to create unique ramen bowls exclusive to the festival: last year saw a new curry ramen by Dragon Noodles x Mendou Inaba, and tori paitan with Ise shrimp by Hurricane x Gyakryu. Tsukuba Ramen Festa also hosts noodle shops from across Japan, making it possible for you to try out other regional flavours.
