Turkish Festival 2014 in Shinjuku

The tasty food-focused festivals in Kabukicho just keep on coming: after celebrations dedicated to things like super-spicy grub and tsukemen, Okubo Park now hosts the Turkish Festival, a two-day bash featuring a kebab contest, sales of Anatolian beer and wine, sheesha sessions, a crafts market and belly dance performances. If you're on the lookout for a mate, why not try the 'Kebab-kon' dating event on November 8: the ticket price (¥5,000 for men, ¥3,000 for women) includes all-you-can-drink booze and a little food on the side.
