Time Out says

Wonder Festival is one of Japan’s biggest events for figurine collectors. Taking over halls 1 to 8 at Makuhari Messe, it’s a place for both professionals and amateurs to show off their newest figure kits. Also known as ‘garage kits’, these usually feature popular anime characters and rare one-off items, many of which are only available during this one-day bash. You can browse through a list of participants on the festival website.

Serious garage kit fans should go for the standard ticket (¥3,500), which gets you in at 10am, while the cheaper option (¥2,300) allows for entry after 1pm. While tickets can be purchased on the day for ¥4,000 each, we recommend getting one in advance online via Eplus or Lawson Ticket to avoid long queues.
