World Baseball Classic Tokyo Fan Zone

With Japan looking to repeat as champions, Tokyo is gearing up for a few weeks of intense World Baseball Classic action. While the games are broadcast exclusively on Netflix this time around, everyone can get a taste of the tournament at Tokyo Skytree Town’s fan zone.

Here you can look forward to talks with former Japanese baseball heroes like Masato Yoshii, Shinya Miyamoto, Kazuo Matsui and Kosuke Fukudome, along with special guests such as ex-astronaut Soichi Noguchi.

The talks take place at the Sky Arena on the fourth floor, while the skybridge and Space 634 one floor up will feature displays of trophies, signed baseballs and other memorabilia. Serious fans can attend workshops to make their own baseball-themed ema votive tablets and draw special omikuji fortunes.

Tokyo Skytree itself will feature a special light-up inspired by the WBC logo for the duration of the event, and there will also be a stamp rally across Asakusa and Kita-Senju for true baseball believers.
