She's the best preserved mammoth ever discovered: a 10-year-old female, preserved in the permafrost of the Sakha Republic, Russia for the past 39,000 years. Unearthed in 2010, the baby mammoth – known by the name Yuka – is getting her first public display in Yokohama this summer, alongside other frozen animals including the wooly rhinoceros Kolyma, plus prehistoric bones, teeth and animal skins.
