The JR Chuo and Sobu lines run through this station, and the area is most famous for its connection with sumo. Towards the West exit you'll find Ryogoku Edo Noren, a little indoor area where you can enjoy Edo-style cuisine like sushi, soba noodles, and chanko-nabe, a popular dish eaten among sumo wrestlers.
