Designed by Finnish architect Viljo Revell, Toronto City Hall opened in 1965 and is home to the municipal government of Toronto. It is also one of the country's most distinct landmarks. Some may call it an icon.

Toronto City Hall is the backdrop to the many cultural events which take place at Nathan Phillips Square. A true civic gathering point, Nathan Phillips Square plays host to community gatherings, art installations and large concerts. Most recently it was the focal point for the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games.
