Gladstone Hotel says
Harvest Wednesdays is a local culinary series inspired by the Gladstone’s long-time investment in four ‘shares’ of a local Community Shared Agriculture Farm, Chick-a-biddy Acres Farms. By showcasing their local produce each week alongside guest chefs, community organizations and local producers, Harvest Wednesdays sparks conversations about Community Shared Agriculture, eating locally for global change, bridging the gap between urban and rural and of course, enjoying seasonal Ontario produce, picked from the land just the day before.
For Friendsgiving (which traditionally occurs on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day), we invite you to gather with your pals, experience the gorgeous fall harvest from Chick-a-biddy farms and get a taste of Chocolates x Brandon Olsen (CXBO)

Your Harvest Table Dinner ticket includes:

4 Thanksgiving inspired courses (appetizer, starter, main and dessert) served family style in the Ballroom, including treats from Chocolates x Brandon Olsen (CXBO)
2 glasses of wine from Chateau Des Charmes Winery
Live music from local performers
Inspiring remarks from the Gladstone's Chef de Cuisine Katie Venables Llyod and the Gladstone’s Chief Alchemist Christina Zeidler.

About CXBO:

Brandon launched Chocolates x Brandon Olsen (CXBO), together with his partner Sarah Keenlyside in 2016. Brandon Olsen is formerly chef de cuisine at two of Toronto’s top restaurants – Bar Isabel and The Black Hoof – and trained under chef Thomas Keller at Napa Valley's The French Laundry and Ad Hoc restaurants. He approaches making chocolates the way he cooks, mixing up unique flavor combinations and playful presentation with skillful technique. Sarah Keenlyside is near and dear to the Gladstone family–the visual artist and designer did a complete recreation of Ferris Bueller’s Bedroom for Come Up To My Room this past year and it's since gone on to tour around the world, wowing over 7000 visitors and counting!

About Harvest Wednesdays:

From August 24 to October 12, we invite you to connect with Ontario’s growing season through a Harvest Table Dinner in the Ballroom or a Sip and Savour in the Gallery (featuring tastings from 15+ local producers!)

What is Community Shared Agriculture (C.S.A.):

Community Shared Agriculture allows city residents to have direct access to high quality, fresh produce grown locally by regional farmers. When you become a member of a CSA, you're purchasing a “share” of vegetables from a regional farmer. It is a relationship of shared bounty and shared risk.

About Chateau Des Charmes Vineyard:

Château des Charmes was founded in 1978 in the Niagara region. From the beginning, they have been committed to using sustainable practices and are charter members of Sustainable Winegrowing Ontario.
