// Kev Corbett
People keep telling Kev Corbett he really doesn’t sound like anybody else. He’s a workingman's poet, from the East Coast, with a heart like you'd expect. A serious guitar picker. A man who loves a great story, especially if it isn’t his. He’s comfortable in his own skin, not a hint of pretense. His newest album finds him exploring new sonic neighbourhoods after 20 years and 20 countries’ worth of touring, and telling the stories of the people he meets there, while maintaining the sidewalk humanity and solidarity and heart and protest that define the Folk genre in which he cut his teeth. Produced by Jason Mingo (Meaghan Smith, Trailer Park Boys) and otherwise playing all the instruments, Corbett continues to walk a path imagining the all great players and writers meeting at the Big Tavern in the Sky, where Woody Guthrie is the bartender.
