New Adventures in Sound Art says
For World Listening Day, Wendalyn Bartley presents both a workshop and an evening performance at the NAISA North Media Arts Centre. Workshop runs from 1pm-4pm, with the performance at 8:00pm.

In her World Listening Day workshop entitled “Listening for New Ground," Wendalyn Bartley uses simple vocal techniques to guide participants though an exploration of how to deepen their relationship and communication with nature through sound making with the voice. Please dress appropriately for outdoor activities. Wendalyn Bartley’s soundscape work "A Forest Oracle" will be featured in the 8 PM concert later in the evening. World Listening Day is a world-wide initiative led by the World Listening Project to promote awareness and education on the soundscape. This year’s activities honour the work of Pauline Oliveros with the theme “Listening to the Ground."

The performance portion features the premiere of Bartley's soundscape work A Forest Oracle, developed during a residency at Warbler's Roost. Bartley will also lead audiences in a sound walk followed by a participatory performance of Pauline Oliveros’ sonic meditation "Environmental Dialogue."
