Afro-Cuban percussionist and vocalist, Toto Berriel, joins us from Vancouver with pianist, Pablo Cardenas. The performance will feature Mario Allende on drums, Roberto Riverón on bass, Reimundo Sosa on batá, and Afro-Cuban dance by Dailyn Martínez.

Toto Berriel
Toto berriel is an esteemed Afro- cuban percussionist and vocalist with 25 years of professional experience. Two of his professional accomplishments include joining two well recognized traditional AfroCuban groups, Los Muñequitos de Matanzas and AfroCuba de Matanzas, and playing on the 2001 Latin Grammy-winning album, La Rumba Soy Yo, with the Rumba All-stars.

Mario Allende
Mario was best known as the driving force behind the Alberta based Latin-Jazz group, Bomba! Today, he mixes the drum kit, timbales, congas and myriad percussion instruments as a musician in Toronto's vibrant musical scene. As a studied yet emotional player, Mario is restlessly creative and performs with the spirit music demands.

Dailyn Martínez
Born in Cuba, Dailyn graduated from the National School of Dance in Havana, specializing in Cuban cabaret as well as traditional and afrocuban styles and rhythms. She performed and served as choreographer in such prestigious dance companies as Teatro America and Havana Night. With over 13 years of international experience, Dailyn continues to teach and perform in Canada at the Spanish Centre, Lula Lounge and private events.
