Mary J. Daniel is a media artist and educator, with an MFA in film & video, and several years experience teaching film and video production fundamentals, including at Purdue University, Sheridan College, Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design and the University of British Columbia—Okanagan. She has a background in experimental film, intertwining interest in personal, political and community-based video, and a 20-year history of making hard-to-categorize works focusing on the poetry and artistry of everyday experiences. Her body of work encompasses an anthology of experimental shorts, a feature film, and a series of collaborative documentary projects.
