Sunday Scene: Ekow Nimako says
During our FREE Sunday Scene sries, speakers from the world of art and beyond offer their responses to The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery's current exhibitions. Whether focusing on a single work/artist or on multiple exhibitions, guest presenters draw provocative connections between our programs and broader cultural and intellectual debates.

Ekow Nimako Art is a Toronto-based artist who creates sculptures out of Lego, which he uses to explore elements of nature, social justice, and black and west African mythos. Nimako has exhibited at Nuit Blanche Toronto, the AGO - Art Gallery of Ontario, BAND Gallery and more, and participated in The Brain Project last summer in Toronto. Nimako will discuss Ydessa Hendeles’ exhibition The Milliner’s Daughter.
