The Tashme Project: The Living Archives says
After 6 years in the making, The Tashme Project: The Living Archives is finally coming to Toronto! We are happy and proud to be part of Soulpepper Theatre Company's inaugural Tiger Bamboo Festival!

Our showtimes are May 28 at 3pm | May 28 at 7:15pm | May 29 at 1pm at the Young Centre for the Performing Arts and TICKETS ARE FREE!

Pieced together from over 70 hours of interview time with 30 Nisei (second generation Japanese Canadians) from across Canada our play traces Nisei history through childhood, internment and post-WW2 resettlement east of the Rockies.

Now seniors, the Nisei were children at the time of internment and their memories of adventure and play are presented in sharp relief to the more common internment narratives of hardship and injustice.

Seats are first-come, first-served. Guests may reserve a spot for any of the performances starting online at Soulpepper.ca/tigerbamboo or by calling the Young Centre Box Office (416.866.8666) or by visiting us in person.

Maximum 2 seats per reservation name. Box office hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 1pm – 8pm. Unclaimed reservations will be released 15 minutes prior to performance time.

See you there!
