Toronto the Just: Stories of Women and the Struggle for Equality

Meet some of the women who have challenged inequality and made a lasting impact on Toronto.

* A restaurateur * A journalist * An urban activist * A labour collective * *An Indigenous leader * A physicist * A teacher *
* A human rights advocate *

The struggles of women to overcome discrimination based on gender, sexuality, race, class, and ability have been a tangible part of Toronto's past and present.

This exhibit celebrates the pursuit of social justice and asks the question: how have passionate women challenged inequality and changed our city in the past?

More importantly, this exhibit invites you to reflect on your own experiences and asks the question: how will you, and the women in your life, change our city moving forward?

Join the conversation and let us know what women and stories have inspired you.
