Utsu Sexual Violence Policy Consultation U4 Consent says
On 19 September 2016, the University of Toronto Students' Union (UTSU) is holding an accessible, student-led consultation on the sexual violence policy currently being drafted by the University of Toronto. The event will launch U4Consent, the UTSU campaign against sexual violence.

As of January 2017, every university in Ontario will be required by law to have a policy on sexual violence. The current U of T policy is twenty years old, and very far removed from the lived experiences of present-day students. For years, universities have failed victims and survivors of sexual violence, and it is crucial that advocate for a policy that is responsive to the needs of our community members.

This consultation will provide a safe, accessible space for students to discuss the policy and make recommendations to the University. We encourage you to come and have your voice heard.

The Draft Policy is available here: http://www.provost.utoronto.ca/Assets/Provost+Digital+Assets/DraftPolicySexualViolence.pdf

You can also email us feedback at svpolicy@utsu.ca, and you can indicate if you would like us to discuss your feedback at the consultation.

We will update this page with more information as the event draws closer.

Location: Room 208, Multi-Faith Centre

Counsellors will be present on site; real-time captioning will be available.
