6pm
Give Good Face
Humans are unique in that no two faces are alike, and our expressions convey so much emotion - a knowing glance or rigid smile is the difference between an engaging show or an uncomfortable interaction. This workshop focuses on awareness of expression on stage, connecting and contrasting emotions with body movement, using your face as a reveal, and drawing the audience's gaze with your eyes.

What to Bring: Your Face!

Price: $25

7pm
Demure to Dirty
Burlesque is the predecessor of modern striptease, but with the importance of female empowerment in the neo burlesque movement, the raw power of overtly sexual dance (usually reserved for the strip club) is often disregarded. Learn to engage or challenge your audience with the interplay between classic sensual tease and raunchy modern stripper moves. Polarize the audience and create the emotional response that you want.

What to Bring: Heels!

Price: $35

***SPECIAL: Take both classes and receive a $15 credit in your account! This can be applied to ANYTHING we charge for at the school***

WHO IS SHE: Another Australian ;)

Arabella Allure began her dance career in Australia 8 years ago, and has since performed coast to coast in Canada and the USA, and a few other countries. Featured in clubs and variety shows from Melbourne to Toronto, she has appeared in over a dozen festival showcases. With a grounding in calisthenics and more recent training in aerials and ballet, her years of on stage experience are complemented with learning from the Legends of burlesque in Las Vegas as well as the rising stars of today at Burlycon. After a hiatus from competition, she returned to the circuit in 2014 and won several titles, including Miss Nude International Hottest Stage Personality, Miss Nude United States Best Dancer, and was crowned Miss Burlesque World.
She is co-founder of the Edmonton Burlesque Festival and creator of the Burlesque Bunny competition for upcoming performers. Arabella believes every body should have the confidence to express their sexy self on stage for hundreds of people - or even just an audience of one.
