Bargain supermarket and marketing menace Aldi is one of the UK’s fastest growing supermarkets – though, surprisingly, not so fast as Lidl and M&S – and that makes a lot of sense. Still feeling the impact of the cost-of-living crisis, Brits increasingly want their groceries on the cheap. And if that means settling for Aldi’s iconically shameless rip-offs of well-known products, so be it.

Now, Cuthbert the Caterpillar’s empire is growing. The German-owned company announced at the start of 2024 that it would be bringing 500 new stores to the UK, with £550 million set aside to build new stores and upgrade existing ones. The news follows a dozen or so Aldi openings in the UK at the end of 2023.

The supermarket last year revealed plans to hire over 1,700 workers in its warehouses, and has since confirmed that 1,500 more jobs will be created by new stores. That’s a lot of jobs up for grabs.

We don’t know just yet where all these new Aldi stores will be, as the company is still on the hunt for locations. We do, however, know where some of the stores will be. Here are all the confirmed new Aldi locations.

More brands out to conquer the UK

Aldi certainly isn’t the only brand aiming to massively increase its UK presence in the coming months and years. At Time Out we recently covered that B&M intends on opening 125 new stores, Greggs wants 160 new outlets and Primark has its five new shops in its sights
