Let’s talk about Easter. Yes, we know it’s not even December yet, but Cadbury has just broken some big Easter egg news, so you can’t blame us.

The beloved chocolate brand has announced that it will be launching a Creme Egg chocolate bar next month ‘perfect for both sharing and self-treat occasions’. After the success of last year’s white chocolate Creme Egg, Cadbury said that it was ‘excited to bring innovation to the category once more’.

Sweet treat lovers are already obsessed. ‘New obsession incoming…’ wrote one social media user. ‘Love it, I would have this instead of an egg,’ commented another.

It’s the first time the Creme Egg bar has been officially available in the UK, but the brand did launch it in Australia a few years ago and British chocolate fanatics could get one shipped over for the hefty price of £6.99, plus £1.99 delivery.

Eagle-eyed chocolate fans have probably spotted something similar on some B&M shelves, but those were an Aussie import. Thankfully, you’ll no longer have to search far and wide or take out a small loan to enjoy the gooey fondant-filled bar over here – it will be on sale in most local supermarkets for £1.80.

Time Out’s take

Christmas is the time for giving, and food brands sure are treating us with lots of brand-new exciting products. Cadbury brought back its beloved chocolate coins and Quality Street revived a popular flavour in time for the festive season, while Asda has launched vegan whole turkey roast and Laughing Cow has created a new vegan cheese.

Did you see that Coca-Cola’s iconic Christmas truck tour is returning to the UK for Christmas 2023?

Plus: this English city officially has the UK’s highest salaries outside London.
